The FTL Program rewards its members with:

Specialized Training

In addition to the training offered to all our employees, as an FTL you will participate in special training sessions throughout your three years in the program. These training sessions are designed to enhance your knowledge in preparation of becoming a technical and business leader within the Northrop Grumman family.

Networking Opportunities

Although located within a division, every FTL participant will experience program events and e-tools designed to provide an in-depth knowledge of the company, as well as an opportunity to network with your cohort group, previous FLT participants and management from sectors across the company.

Mentoring

Your success in the program is very important to us. That's one of the reasons why a dedicated mentor is assigned to every FTL participant. We understand the significance of this relationship and will make every effort to match you with someone that can best guide you and aid in your personal and professional development. While the Future Technical Leaders' mentor program lasts three years, it is our hope that your relationship will continue further.

Rotation Opportunities

Northrop Grumman recognizes that, for some of you, the project and location of your initial assignment may be very important. In addition to providing you with the opportunity to contribute to the organization now and in the future, the project might also be aligned with your career objectives. For others, the opportunity to experience a variety of assignments, places and people may be of paramount interest. In general, our experience with the FTL program has shown us that those who rotate to geographically diverse locations and different domains learn the most and develop the quickest, so we strongly encourage rotations that are "all over the map."

Management Visibility

In addition to the Sector Director, Engineering Strategy, senior managers within your "home" division will be monitoring your progression throughout the program. Northrop Grumman's ability to provide management visibility from across the company will be an important consideration in all components of the program.
