Data acquisition and retrieval are two of the most important facets of law enforcement. For too long this has been a business of entering data and producing reports. However, critical data often was locked away, unable to assist the entire law enforcement department. Today, interoperability is the key to information exchange within the department and between the department and outside agencies. Northrop Grumman has combined a broad-based technical environment with the functional requirements necessary for a law enforcement department. The resultant application is the records management system component of the CommandPoint™ suite of applications – CommandPoint RMS.
