This includes Computer Based Training (CBT), Web Based Training (WBT), Instructor-Led, Mentoring, and Virtual Classroom learning. Clients can choose from individual pre-packaged services, or a customized, blended solution incorporating some or all of the services offered based on their particular organizational needs.
CBT/WBT
Computer and Web-based training allows students to learn at their own pace either from their desktop or via the Internet. This facilitates learning at the individual student’s pace and schedule, which minimizes the conflicts with student’s day jobs and eliminates the cost associated with travel. CBT and WBT packages that exist today include core e.POWER offerings available in Integrator, System Administrator, and Application Developer blended approach tracks.
Instructor-Led
Classroom instruction promotes interaction between the instructor and student and results in high retention rates. This approach is often preferred for advanced technology courses which emphasize labs and proficiency-based exercises. Northrop Grumman offers classroom instruction either on-site at client locations or in our Customer Solutions Center located in our Virginia campus. The labs are components of our pre-packaged track offerings.
Mentoring
Certain technologies are best learned by following the lead of an expert, someone who has experienced similar challenges and implemented "best practices." By bringing your instructor into the field with you, they can transfer knowledge specific to your environment and project. This approach has been found to significantly reduce learning curves and accelerate project timelines.
Virtual Classroom Learning
Our virtual classroom learning solution allows students to attend a live training event with an experienced instructor over the Internet. Our online classroom technology provides each student real-time access to student workstations through their browser. They are able to hear and speak with their instructor and peers, as well as participate in hands-on labs and exercises. This approach combines the benefits of instructor-led training with the flexibility and cost benefits offered with CBT/WBT solutions.
